New Year’s Eve Camberwell shooting leaves two in hospital
Police are appealing for witnesses after two men were shot in Camberwell on New Year’s Eve.
Just before 9pm, police were alerted by staff at a South London hospital that two men, aged 24 and 28, had turned up with gunshot injuries.
Both men remain in hospital undergoing treatment and are in a serious but stable condition.
Initial enquiries suggest the two men were injured on the Lettsome Estate in McNeil Road, at around 8.30pm.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw or heard anything suspicious at around that time.
A spokesman said: “Any piece of information, no matter how irrelevant it may seem, could be crucial in piecing together what took place.”
