Police appeal after driver drove off as Thornton Heath girl aged four hit in collision
Police are appealing for witnesses after a child was injured in a hit-and-run collision in Croydon today, 20 June.
Officers were called by paramedics at 12.02pm to reports of a road traffic collision between a car and a child in Thornton Road, Thornton Heath.
The driver of the car failed to stop at the scene.
The child, a four-year-old girl, has been taken to a West London hospital – her condition is non life-threatening or life-changing.
The car that failed to stop has been described as green in colour.
Officers from Croydon are investigating and are appealing for witnesses and people with dash cam footage of the collision to come forward.
No arrests have been made. Enquiries continue.
