Puppy stolen in Wandsworth still missing as two men charged

Two South London men have been charged as part of an investigation into an aggravated burglary in Wandsworth where a puppy was stolen.

Simon Ludlow, 49, of London Road, Mitcham appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, December 3 charged with aggravated burglary.

Michael Cloherty, 57, of Chipperfield Road, Orpington appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, December 4, also charged with aggravated burglary.

Both were remanded in custody to appear at Kingston Crown Court on Wednesday, December 22.

This follows an incident at an address on Arabella Drive, in Wandsworth on Monday, November 29 where a puppy was stolen from the address.

The puppy, which was a a two-month old female American XL bulldog puppy described as ‘blue merle’ in colour, has still not been found.

A 53-year-old man arrested as part of this investigation was bailed pending further enquiries to return on a date in late December.

Two other men were arrested on Tuesday, November 30 on suspicion of aggravated burglary but they have been released with no further action.
