QPR fans help raise funds for Ukraine appeal
Fans of Queens Park Rangers Football Club helped raise money for the Ukraine appeal during a Ukraine Day on Saturday.
Fans of QPR – and their visitors Birmingham City, were treated to music and dancing before the match thanks to the Prolisok dancers and St Mary’s Ukrainian School.
The Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain (AUGB) London branch, and the british-ukrainianaid.org charity based in Holland Park, raised funds for Ukraine and celebrated the vibrant culture in the QPR Fan Zone.
The club supports the ‘European Football Powers Up Ukraine’ initiative to collect power generators to help Ukrainians stay connected.

Ahead of the match at Loftus Road, QPR players joined performers and fans to stand united in support of peace in Ukraine.
The St Mary’s Ukrainian School choir, which includes many refugees, showed hope, resilience and smiles as they sang the Ukrainian national anthem, Kalush orchestra Eurovision winning song Stefania, Oi u luzi chervona kalyna – Oh, the Red Viburnum in the Meadow and the John Lennon song Imagine.

There was further fun as QPR club mascot and fans joined in practicing some Cossack dance steps.
Schoolchildren represented Ukraine with a march during the QPR v Birmingham City match.
