Six-year-old girl hurt in Southwark collision
Officers from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit [SCIU] are appealing for witnesses to a collision that resulted in a small child being injured.
Police were called to Silex Street, Southwark at 11,50am on Bank Holiday Monday, 28 May, to reports of a road traffic collision.
At the scene a van had been in collision with a six-year-old girl.
The injured child was taken to a South London hospital where she remains in a serious condition. We await further updates.
The child’s parents have been notified.
The van driver stopped at the scene. There have been no arrests.
The crime scene was closed for much of the day.
