South London arrest for alleged terrorism offences

Officers from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command last week arrested a man on suspicion of being a member of a terrorist organisation.

The 39-year-old was arrested in South London on Thursday, December 3 on suspicion of a crime under section 11 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

The arrest was made under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act.

He was taken to a South London police station and was bailed pending further enquiries.

Enquiries continue.
