Teenager stabbed amid cluster of schools in Nunhead

A teenager has been stabbed in a quiet residential street amid a string of schools and a church.

Police were alerted to a fight involving males with knives on Harlescott Road, Nunhead, at about 6.10pm yesterday, Thursday July 23.

Officers and paramedics rushed to the scene and foudn a 16-year-old male with stab wounds. He was taken to hospital where his condition has been assessed as not life-threatening.

Two males have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, affray and possession of an offensive weapon. Both are currently in custody.

Due to the disorder a Section 60 Search Power and Section 35a dispersal was authorised around the immediate area until 7am this morning.
