Theatre school’s danceathon raises £4,680 for NHS
A theatre school has raised £4,680 for the NHS by holding a virtual danceathon.
Ex-soap actress Lucy Morgans, who runs All the Arts Theatre School which offers classes in Chislehurst and Bexley, hosted the event which involved 100 families joining together and dancing for an hour.
Lucy said: “We have been learning the dances in our online classes and the children have been working so hard. Since lockdown began they have learnt over 22 routines.
“We decided that we wanted to do something to help our doctors and nurses on the front line and also engage our pupils and their families in a fun and active event.
“We couldn’t believe how many families took part and how much money we raised. It was great fun and really boosted everyone’s spirits.”
