Woolwich Arsenal station: Person killed by train causing delays on rail lines
A person has died after being hit by a train this morning.
British Transport Police (BTP) officers were called to Woolwich Arsenal railway station at around 5.30am to reports of a casualty on the track.
Paramedics also attended, but sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesperson from the BTP said: “This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
The incident has caused major delays to Woolwich and Greenwich lines.
Following the incident the Woolwich and Greenwich lines were temporarily closed. They have since reopened but a spokesman from Southeastern Railway has warned there may be “delays” and “alterations”.
