Charlton Athletic defender set for loan spell before transfer window closes

Charlton Athletic defender Nathan Asiimwe is set to head out on loan before the end of the transfer window, the South London Press has been told.

The 19-year-old has made 25 senior appearances for the Addicks, turning out 17 times in League One last season.

Nathan Jones has started Kayne Ramsey at right-wing-back in both of the League One outings so far this season.

Tennai Watson started the 1-0 EFL Cup defeat to League One rivals Birmingham City.

Asiimwe was close to leaving The Valley on loan last January.
