Charlton’s Darren Pratley is preparing for a tough contest when high-flying Fulham visit SE7 on Wednesday

Darren Pratley is relishing the challenge awaiting as Fulham arrive at The Valley on Wednesday evening.

The Cottagers sit just four points off the Championship top two and have won four of their last six league outings – you’d need to go back 23 games to find the same amount of victories for Charlton.

The west Londoners, managed by former Addicks midfielder Scott Parker, enjoy over 60% possession per game on average and will offer a stern test to Charlton’s injury-ravaged squad.

“I can tell you for starters that the [statisticians] will probably be eyeing that game because you’re going to be doing a lot of running,” said Pratley.

“They keep the ball for fun, they are a Premier League team. That will be a tough game. They have had an extra day’s rest because [they faced Middlesbrough on Friday], they are a very good side. Very, very good side.

“We got a point down at their place and we’re going to have to be at it. That will be a tough game and I think our home crowd will help us to try and get something out of that game.”
