Crystal Palace loanee has ‘loved every minute’ of AFC Wimbledon spell
Owen Goodman has said he has loved every minute of his AFC Wimbledon loan spell after the Crystal Palace keeper delivered a Man of the Match performance in their play-off semi-final 1-0 first leg win over Notts County on Saturday night.
Goodman made five saves during the clash at Meadow Lane, denying County’s Conor Grant multiple times to keep his clean sheet intact.
The 21-year-old ex-Colchester loanee was named in League Two’s Team of the Season and kept the most clean sheets in the regular campaign.
“It was a good night for us,” said Goodman to Sky Sports.
“We came here and we wanted to win. We have the advantage at home.
“Our fans are brilliant and they will be backing us. We’re going to put the work in.
“Probably Josh [Neufville’s] block on the line was my favourite of the lot. Every time I make a save, I need to enjoy the moment.
“We will enjoy tonight and move on to next week.
“I’ve loved every minute [of the loan spell]. When you have the fans backing you every week, it’s brilliant.
“I’m just enjoying every minute until the end.”
