Dons head coach Robinson pleased with clean sheet at Gillingham
Mark Robinson has described AFC Wimbledon picking up their first League One clean sheet in nine games as “pleasing”.
The Dons drew 0-0 against Gillingham at Priestfield Stadium on Tuesday evening.
That result means the South London club are two points clear of the relegation zone.
Robinson – asked about a first shutout since January 18 – told the South London Press: “That is pleasing, again it’s something to build from. I didn’t realise
“It’s not something we were hoping for, we were hoping to come here and get three points but it’s certainly something to build off.”
Aaron Cosgrave came off in the first half after going down twice in five minutes. He was replaced by Lee Brown.
The substitution meant that Wimbledon changed shape with Paul Osew playing higher up on the right to give the Dons more numbers higher up the pitch.
Robinson added: “I’ve got to check on him, again that wasn’t ideal.
“Losing a player that early on, because that meant we’ve used one sub already.”
