Gunter and Hennessey named in Wales squad for European Championships
Charlton Athletic defender Chris Gunter and Crystal Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey have been selected to represent Wales at next month’s European Championships.
Gunter’s first international cap came in 2007 and he has become the first player to make 100 appearances for Wales.
Hennessey made his debut for the Dragons in a 2-2 draw against New Zealand on May 26, 2007. The Eagles stopper, who is out of contract on July 1, has made 95 appearances.
Former Charlton midfielder Jonny Williams has also made the squad, as have two former Addicks loanees in Dylan Levitt and Matt Smith.

However QPR’s George Thomas and ex-Charlton defender Tom Lockyer have both failed to make the cut after initially being in the 28-man preliminary squad.
Before the Euros get underway, Wales will face France and Albania in friendlies. Wales begin their Euro 2020 campaign against Switzerland in Baku on June 12.
Rob Page’s side are in Group A and will take on Italy, Switzerland and Turkey in the group stages.
