‘It’s my fault’ – QPR boss takes blame for Coventry defeat
Gareth Ainsworth took the blame for QPR’s 3-0 defeat at home to play-off chasing Coventry on Saturday.
Viktor Gyokeres opened the scoring at Loftus Road after 10 minutes after he was slipped in by Gustavo Hamer.
Coventry eventually doubled their advantage in the 88th minute when Brazilian midfielder Hamer got himself on the scoresheet.
Swedish forward Gyokeres wrapped up all three points two minutes later to extend QPR’s winless run to six games.

The west Londoners are a point above the Championship relegation zone.
“The goals were too easy to score against us – without a shadow of a doubt,” Ainsworth told QPR’s YouTube channel.

“We have got to be stronger and tougher with the first one. We had a go in the second half. But the second goal kills me because we’re not reading the danger.
“We’re so open. I feel for the boys because they’re good lads, but we were too open then.
“Coverty have scored three times today and we have to be better than that. We’re too easy to score against.
“It’s my fault – I’m the manager – I’ll take the blame for today.
“We have conceded three really poor goals. If the boys have given everything today, and could look in the mirror and say they gave me everything, then it wasn’t good enough.
“I thank them for everything but we’re going to have to work hard for Wednesday.”
