QPR keeper makes switch to Championship rivals

Seny Dieng has joined Championship rivals Middlesbrough from QPR.

The 28-year-old has penned a four-year deal at the Riverside Stadium.

Senegal international Dieng, who joined QPR in 2016, made 121 appearances during his time at Loftus Road.

He had just 12 months left on his deal with the west Londoners.

Middlesbrough finished fourth in the Championship last season, losing in the play-off semi-finals to Coventry.

Dieng was left out of QPR’s pre-season trip to Austria, with Ainsworth adding: “At this moment in time, Seny’s future needs to be resolved and we feel it is in the best interests of all parties for him to stay in the country until that is concluded.”
