By Paul Lagan on Court Three, Wimbledon
Dart/Watson v Kichenok/Ostapenko
7-5, 4-4, 2-6
It was ever so close for the British pair of Heather Watson and Harriet Dart, but the duo lost in three sets to Lyudmyla Kichenok and Jelena Ostapenko
the two H’s won the opening set thanks for the heavy-lifting serves by Dart who carried them to a 7-5 game win. dart had six set points before s finally putting the Lithuanian and Ukrainian to the sword.

But that resilience showed and they were able finally crack Dart’s Serb in the second and take the set by six games to four.
The decider was a less troublesome affair and the 6-2 scoreline was more than justified.
The British pair hd their chances in the second. A succession of breaks could have seen the set fall their way. But on a packed Court Three. It was at meant to be.
