Charlton Athletic sign Portsmouth keeper Craig MacGillivray
Charlton Athletic have made Portsmouth goalkeeper Craig MacGillivray their second signing of the summer transfer window.
We exclusively revealed in May that the stopper was a top target if the Addicks did not re-sign Ben Amos.
MacGillivray won Pompey’s Player of the Year award for the 2020-21 campaign but is a free agent on July 1.
Budget cuts at the South Coast club meant they did not feel they could activate a clause in his contract to extend his stay by a further 12 months.
Harrogate-born MacGillivray has previously played for Walsall and Shrewsbury.
He will be Charlton’s new number one after Amos opted to join Wigan.
