Millwall boss knows shutting down Boro dangerman is key in crunch Championship clash

By Richard Cawley

Millwall boss Neil Harris has labelled Adama Traore “the quickest player in the league by a mile” ahead of Saturday evening’s clash of the Championship play-off hopefuls.

The Lions are unbeaten in nine matches on the road and need a victory on Teesside this weekend to boost their top-six hopes. Derby County’s 3-1 victory over Cardiff City in midweek saw them jump above the South London club and take the final play-off spot.

Traore has been in fine form for Boro and Harris said: “They have got some real threats and Traore is certainly one of them.

“He looks like the quickest player in the league by a mile. He looks a real handful. They are a big side, very dangerous at set-plays – we have got to make sure we compete physically and try to nullify their threats while having a gameplan of our own.

“It is a cracking game and I expect the atmosphere to be great. Our travelling fans have been brilliant on the road this season.”
