Winger has been training with Charlton Athletic as he looks to land a contract
Former Aston Villa youngster Corey Blackett-Taylor is looking to land a deal at Charlton. Our website broke the news earlier this week that the Addicks are weighing up a move for the 23-year-old attacker, who is comfortable on either wing.
Blackett-Taylor has been training with Charlton for the past couple of weeks.
The former England U17 international, who left Tranmere Rovers when his contract expired in the summer, had previously spent time on trial with Wigan.
Blackett-Taylor was signed by Villa at the age of 11 and had a loan spell with Walsall before he joined Tranmere, newly-promoted to League One, in 2019.
“He’s a player that I’m aware of,” said Charlton boss Nigel Adkins after their 2-1 loss at Milton Keynes on Tuesday.
“He did very well when he was at Aston Villa and England. There’s a lot of players that we like out there.”
