Dillian Whyte defends WBC Interim title against Otto Wallin at 02 Arena

Dillian Whyte will defend his WBC Interim world heavyweight title against Otto Wallin at Greenwich’s 02 Arena on October 30.

The Brixton puncher (28-2) regained the title with an emphatic revenge mission on Alexander Povetkin in March, dispatching the Russian in the fourth round.

Swedish southpaw Wallin is 22-1 and his sole reverse is to WBC world champion Tyson Fury.

Wallin was a huge underdog going into that bout in Las Vegas in 2019 but Fury suffered a bad cut above his right eye early in the contest and ended up needing to dig in to win a unanimous points decision.

Wallin has followed up by halting Travis Kaufmann and outpointing former world title challenge Dominic Breazeale in February.

It is the first time that Whyte has fought at the 02 Arena – a regular haunt with bouts there against Anthony Joshua, Joseph Parker and Lucas Browne – since a unanimous points victory over Oscar Rivas in July 2019.

The fight will be shown on DAZN.
