BY JONATHAN WHITTAKER
Dulwich Runners celebrated a successful 2021 with their annual club awards.
Andy Bond was the overall age-graded champion and first place 40-plus male veteran. Ed Chuck and Polly Warrack were senior winners, with Yvette Dore the 40-plus female veteran.
They were joined by Grezgorz Galezia and Michelle Lennon in the 50-plus and Barrie John Nicholls and Claire Steward in the 60-plus categories respectively.

After her world marathon championship win at London, Ange Norris was winner of the age-graded marathon medal. Other marathon medal winners included Jack Ramm and Polly Warrack (senior), Andy Bond and Yvette Dore (40-plus), Grzegorz Galezia and Lucy Pickering (50-plus), Steve Smythe and Claire Steward (60-plus). Ange Norris and Tom South were winners of the Gill Johnson Award.

Ed Chuck smashed his own 10km club record with a time of 30:38 at Telford. Lucy Elms recorded a new PB of 36:15 in the same event.
Thirty-three members took part in the annual Turkey Trot handicap 5km race around Dulwich Park on Sunday. First run in 1986 – when a real turkey was the prize – the race featured staggered start times based on runners’ predictions with no watch to help the pacing.
Jonathan Whittaker was first home in 22:02. Colin Frith won best fancy dress costume as a snowman.
