Millwall will be missing a couple of first-teamers for Dartford friendly opener
BY RICHARD CAWLEY
Neil Harris has revealed there will be some members of his first-team squad missing for Millwall’s opening pre-season friendly at Dartford on Saturday.
The Lions are set to field a completely different side in each half at Princes Park. The fixture is a noon kick-off.
“The plan is the same as the previous season – to use 22 players,” said Harris.
“It will be a mixture of two teams, first team regulars who we have seen a lot of in the last few years. Murray Wallace will be involved and get his first taste of action.
“And there will be some young players who fans won’t have seen before that will be involved.
“We have got one or two little niggles which mean some players won’t be attending, they will be staying at the training ground to work on their fitness because they have missed a few days and have got to catch up.
“This is an opportunity for players to get minutes in front of a big crowd.
“We are expecting a really competitive game against Dartford. It is good for the players to get out on the pitch and lose a little bit of rustiness.”
