Dillian Whyte ready to risk it all to dethrone WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury

Dillian Whyte says he is “ready to leave it all on the line” as he bids to become the new WBC world heavyweight champion on Saturday night.

The 34-year-old Brixton boxer challenges Tyson Fury in front of an expected crowd of 94,000 at Wembley Stadium.

“I’ve fought in stadiums before and me and him is a big fight whether it is at York Hall or in the MGM Grand [in Las Vegas]  – it’s still just me and him fighting,” Whyte told iFL TV.

“Me and Fury are going to go to war, like he said [at Wednesday’s press conference]. He respects me and knows what dangers I bring, like I respect him and know what dangers he brings.

“It’s the hardest fight of my life.”

Whyte flew into Luton on Tuesday to help promote the show after settling some issues with Queensberry Promotions and Top Rank, who won the purse bid to stage the event.

Asked if he allows himself to think about what he would do if he claims the belt, Whyte replied: “I’m just focusing on becoming champion – I haven’t thought about a day after that, everything else will just fall into place and we’ll decide what we do after.

“I’ve fought tooth and nail through court and it’s cost me a fortune, literally, in legal battles to get this title shot. So I want to get my money back!

“I’m willing to do whatever it takes to get the victory. I’m not scared to take risks, I’ve taken risks my whole life.”

Fury said: “I think everyone is underestimating how good this fight will be. One punch can be goodnight Vienna.”
