Non-league round-up: Dulwich finally end wait for National League South win as Wings go unbeaten in September

Dulwich Hamlet climbed out of the National League South relegation zone after a 3-0 win at Cheshunt on Tuesday night.

It was the South Londoners’ first victory in the competition since the opening day of the season.

They had lost six straight in a winless spell stretching for eight league matches.

Danny Mills opened the scoring in the sixth minute, heading in Nana Owusu’s cross before Will Wood quickly made it 2-0.

Former Dulwich keeper Preston Edwards was picking the ball out of his net a third time just before the hour, with Mills again on the scoresheet.

Rowan Liburd hit the post with a header and Hamlet stopper Charlie Grainger saved from the same player shortly afterwards.

Dulwich are at home to Folkestone Invicta in the FA Cup third qualifying round tomorrow.

Welling United are fifth in the same table after a 1-1 draw at home to Dover Athletic in midweek.

The result saw the Wings extend their unbeaten run to seven matches.

Manny Parry put Welling ahead in the 77th minute but Chike Kandi equalised just four minutes later.

Chi Ezennolim’s curling effort hit the crossbar in the closing stages as the Wings nearly snatched a winner.

Warren Feeney’s side head to Weymouth in the FA Cup tomorrow.

Fisher are bottom of the SCEFL Premier Division table and lost 3-1 at home to Erith & Belvedere on Tuesday.

The Fish were already trailing 3-0 by the time Jacob Katonia netted in the 49th minute.

Tooting Bec had a 3-2 victory at AFC Whyteleafe in the SCEFL First Division. They twice trailed but goals from Eoin Fraser, Steve Karkari and James Parsons clinched the three points.

Tooting & Mitcham United are at home to South Park tomorrow in the Isthmian League South Central Division.
