It’s four Lions – not just three – looking to enjoy winning feeling tomorrow

Jake Cooper is hoping that Millwall can do the business tomorrow against Wigan as a perfect build-up to England’s World Cup D-day in Qatar.

The South Londoners are in action at The Den (3pm) with Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions facing a quarter-final clash in Qatar against France, which starts at 7pm.

“It will be a big day for everyone involved in football in the country,” said Cooper.

“Hopefully we can start the day off well for the fans and they can bring that atmosphere to The Den that we’ve missed in the last month or so. If we win the spirits will be high.”

It will be former Arsenal and Manchester City defender Kolo Toure’s first match as Latics boss.

“With him and Vincent Kompany you have got managers who played at the highest level of the game,” said Cooper. “It shows the level that the Championship is at now, that it attracts those coaches to the league.”
