Millwall boss unsure if Tom Elliott or Lee Gregory will be able to play a part against AFC Wimbledon

Millwall have doubts over Tom Elliott and Lee Gregory for Saturday’s FA Cup fifth round tie at AFC Wimbledon.

Lions chief Neil Harris says that top-scorer Gregory came off in the closing stages of Tuesday’s 0-0 draw with a calf problem.

Elliott has recovered from his dislocated shoulder but was unwell in midweek and did not make the matchday 18.

Fred Onyedinma, Ben Marshall, Ben Thompson and Tom King are all cup-tied and can’t play a part.

Harris said: “Tom Elliott was fit and available, he certainly would have been in my thoughts to start the game on Tuesday. However, he is suffering with a bacterial virus – so he was ruled out through illness rather than injury.

“He is very much touch and go in terms of the weekend. It’s a shame. I’d have hoped to have him back for Tuesday, or the very worst case this weekend.

“As we stand I’ve got no idea, if I’m honest, if he is going to be fit or not.

“Lee Gregory came off with a calf issue. We’ll have to review him in the next 48 hours and see how he is.

“Thommo, Marsh, Fred and Kingy are unavailable due to being cup tied. The squad picks itself. I’ll pick a team to win the game and to compete physically with Wimbledon – to rise to the occasion of the FA Cup fifth round.”
