Crystal Palace land Manchester United keeper Dean Henderson in big-money swoop

Crystal Palace are set to announce the capture of Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

The Eagles have agreed a £15million deal with a further £5million in add-ons.

Henderson, 26, joins on a five-year contract.

The stopper, capped once by England at senior level, spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest. He has also had temporary spells away from United at Sheffield United, Shrewsbury Town, Grimsby and Stockport.

Vicente Guaita is set to leave the club after refusing to take part in pre-season matches or join his team-mates on the club’s tour of the USA. Palace’s current first choice is Sam Johnstone, who has been linked with a switch to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Molineux outfit, together with Nottingham Forest, are still thought to be in the market for a goalkeeper and Palace may be braced for late interest in the England international, who has three years to run on his terms.

Henderson has made 29 appearances for Manchester United. He joined their academy at the age of 14 from Carlisle United.
