West Ham midfielder out for minimum of two months – and that’s a huge blow for Charlton
BY RICHARD CAWLEY
Charlton midfielder Josh Cullen is facing at least two months out with ankle ligament damage.
The on-loan West Ham man was stretchered off in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Cardiff City.
And there has been no good news for Addicks manager Lee Bowyer as he battles on with an injury crisis – he has 11 players in the treatment room.
Conor Gallagher is suspended for Saturday’s home game against Sheffield Wednesday after picking up a fifth caution of the campaign in Tuesday’s 2-1 loss to Luton Town.
The absence of Cullen is a huge blow in the middle of the park.
“It is a minimum of eight weeks,” said Bowyer. “It could be nearer to 12.”
