Tooting & Mitcham eye more signings as seven-day approaches made for Culley

Tooting & Mitcham are still looking to add a couple more signings to their squad – despite already having 18 players signed up.

The Terrors have announced deals for Kelvin Adeji, Akheem Belford, Jamarie Brissett, Billy Brown, Sinn’kaye Christie, Daryl Coleman, Duncan Culley, Nathan Daly, Kyrique Garvey Williams, Dean Hamlin, Ermis Mezini, Dominic Odusanya, Gary Ross, Mo Sahnoun, Abz Sahnoun, James Shaw, Mark Walters and Danny Williams.

Tooting joint-manager Cornelius Nwadialor said: “We’ll probably sign one or two more. We’ve got a few trialling with us still.

“The aim for us stays the same – trying our best to get promoted or at least in and around the play-offs.”

Sol Patterson-Bohner has moved on.

“He stepped down as captain and wanted a new challenge,” said Nwadialor. “We’ve got quite a few new defenders so he knew it was going to be a challenge for his spot this season.”

Tooting have also had seven-day approaches from clubs for Culley.

“When we first signed him in January he wasn’t fully fit but he is ready to go after lockdown,” said Nwadialor. “He’s a mature guy and players who are a bit older tend to stick to it when they give their word [that going to stay].”
