AFC Bournemouth keen on Charlton keeper Dillon Phillips

Charlton goalkeeper Dillon Phillips is a target for AFC Bournemouth.

The Cherries are in the market for a new shotstopper after selling Aaron Ramsdale to Sheffield United.

Phillips looks likely to leave SE7 in the current transfer window.

The Addicks are prepared to listen to offers for last season’s Player of the Year as their academy product is due to be a free agent next summer.

Birmingham City, Middlesbrough and Blackburn Rovers have all shown an interest in the 24-year-old.

Charlton manager Lee Bowyer recently told the South London Press that Boro had bid for Phillips, but that has been denied by his opposite number at the Teesside club.

Neil Warnock said: “I spoke to Steve Gallen about someone else, he mentioned the goalie – not me.

“He might not have told Lee the whole story. There are that many people behind the scenes there, who’s telling who?”

Bowyer has made Ben Amos his first-choice keeper, citing Phillips’ unwillingness to pen new terms as the reason behind that stance.
