On-loan Brighton man “buzzing” after netting for AFC Wimbledon
BY DANIEL MARSH
Ryan Longman was “buzzing” after netting his first senior goal in AFC Wimbledon’s 4-4 draw with Plymouth Argyle.
The attacker was a constant thorn in the side of the Argyle defence in an all-action display.
The Brighton loanee stayed alert to set up Joe Pigott to draw the Dons level in the first half. Pigott would return the favour after the break, teeing up Longman to neatly finish his first senior goal.
“It was an interesting one – I’ve never been in a game like that,” said Longman.

“I’m buzzing about it [scoring] to be fair. I thought it was going to be one of those goals which makes us win the game but it wasn’t.
“I got the goal and a nice assist as well. That’s what I’m here to do – get goals and assists, so it’s all good.
“We had a slow start to the game. When they scored we really started to switch on. We got a goal back quite quickly and then we kicked on from there. We’re disappointed really not to get the win, but overall we’re still undefeated, so it’s not too bad.
“It was an interesting [game] – I’m still learning a lot, so it was a good one to be involved in.”
