Two of South London’s main thoroughfares need a total of £180 million spent on them to make them safe for future years. The Rotherhithe Tunnel and Vauxhall Bridge need “urgent” upgrades in the next five years and may be forced to close if TfL’s financial situation does not improve, according to a senior TfL figure.

Driver arrested after teenager killed on e-scooter in Bromley

A man has been arrested after teenager riding e-scooter died following an alleged hit-and-run in Bromley. The driver of the car was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of a collision, causing death by dangerous driving and providing a positive alcohol breath test. Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward after the fatal road traffic collision in Southborough Lane at approximately 1:20am on Sunday, 18 July.

South London property developer agrees to hand over £2million in assets to settle claim over fraud, tax evasion and money laundering claims and growing cannabis

London based property developer Richard Leahy has agreed to hand over assets worth almost £2 million to settle a civil recovery claim based on alleged involvement in cannabis cultivation, money laundering and fraud. The order relates to three London properties and £1,125,340 in cash in a bank account.
