Knock Covid for six amid the hallowed halls of Surrey’s ground, The Oval, this weekend

People living in south-east London and beyond are being invited to a special COVID-19 mass vaccination event at The Kia Oval, the home of Surrey County Cricket Club, this Saturday 17 July. From 8am to 8pm the Pfizer vaccine will be on offer at the stadium for everyone aged 18 and over. Second doses will also be available to anyone who had their first jab at least eight weeks ago, before 23 May 2021.

An “evil” teenager has been found guilty of stabbing to death two sisters, after writing a ‘sacrificial pact with a demon’ in the hope that he would win the lottery. Danyal Hussein, 19, a former pupil of Thomas Tallis School, Kidbrooke Park Road, Eltham, repeatedly stabbed Bibaa Henry, 46, and Nicole Smallman, 27, after using his own blood to sign a pact with mythical King Lucifuge Rofocale.

Stockwell Six have their convictions quashed after diligent decades of work by Oval Four member Winston Trew

Three black men who were jailed nearly 50 years ago on false allegations of attempting to rob a police officer have today had their convictions quashed at the Court of Appeal. Courtney Harriot, Paul Green and Cleveland Davidson together with three friends (all aged between 17 and 20) were arrested while travelling on the London Underground from Stockwell station in February 1972.
