This is your once-a-year opportunity to step inside the studios of more than 120 artists to explore their creative spaces.
Second Floor Studios & Arts (SFSA) in Deptford Foundry and Foreshore will host its Open Studios Summer event from June 7 to 8 — a celebration of creativity across its two locations in Moulding Lane.
Whether you’re an art lover, collector, curious local, or just looking for a unique day out, Open Studios offers the chance to meet the artists behind the work, discover new talent from emerging makers to established professionals.
Visitors can learn about their inspirations and techniques or buy original artwork and design pieces directly from the studios — commission-free.
From fine art and ceramics to fashion, illustration, architecture, textiles, Architecture, film and much more, there will be a host of artistic disciplines to trape through.
This year, SFSA will partner with its neighbours at Arch Bakery, a Deptford gem which will serve up coffee, tea, freshly baked sourdoughs, pastries, savoury snacks, and sweet desserts at great prices.
Find them just across the street at Unit 1, Arklow Road, with outdoor seating in the garden between studio buildings. Perfect for a tasty break while you explore.
SFSA opened Deptford Foundry in spring 2019, a 30,000 sqft space of 85 affordable studios, now fully occupied with artists.
