“Bags of pace and a different outlet to Eze” – Millwall boss gives his verdict on QPR attacker
BY RICHARD CAWLEY
Millwall manager Gary Rowett is fully aware of the threat of South London-raised Bright Osayi-Samuel ahead of today’s home game against QPR.
The 22-year-old has scored two goals and picked up three assists for the west London club.
Osayi-Samuel is out of contract next summer and has previously been linked with Crystal Palace.
Brentford head coach Thomas Frank recently picked out the winger as one of the top performers in the Championship.

Rowett said: “He’s a good player. I saw him play against Birmingham’s youth team in the FA Cup up at Blackpool when he was there.
“He was very, very good on that evening. He was one you thought could develop into a top young player.
“He’s been excellent. He has got bags of pace and his improvement has almost given them a different outlet to [Eberechi] Eze, who was obviously a very, very influential player for them.

“I’m sure Mark [Warburton] will be disappointed with their results overall. But they are the sort of team who can be very, very good in possession and cause you problems.
“It’s a different challenge but it’s another challenging game. We’ve always said it, it’s not something I’ve just started to sound off about, we have to be at our very best to win games of football.
“As you’ve seen recently when we have dropped off we’re an okay side but not a really good side. That’s something we’ve got to get back quickly.”
