Charlton Athletic set for cash windfall due to Karlan Grant sell-on clause
Charlton Athletic are set to profit from Karlan Grant’s imminent exit from Huddersfield Town – with the South Londoners inserting a sell-on clause when he switched to the Terriers.
The 22-year-old striker was sold to the Yorkshire side in January 2019.
And the Yorkshire Post say that Huddersfield are set to sell Grant to another Championship club for a £15million fee.
The Greenwich-born forward has scored 18 goals this season.
Grant netted 21 times in 98 appearances for Charlton but became far more prolific when Lee Bowyer switched him into a central attacking role at the start of the last League One season.
By the turn of the year he had struck 14 times, his performance attracting Huddersfield. He bagged four goals in the second half of the 2018-19 season but it was not enough to prevent Town from losing their Premier League status.
