Charlton Athletic have signed Sam Field on loan from West Bromwich Albion.
We reported earlier this morning that the 21-year-old central midfielder was inbound.
Field completed his medical last night at the Addicks’ Sparrows Lane training ground and is the 10th addition made by boss Lee Bowyer since promotion was won in May.
Field is a former England U20 international with 41 appearances under his belt for the Baggies, including 19 in the Premier League.

Charlton manager Lee Bowyer said: “He’s a very good player with Premier League experience. He’s young, wants to learn and he works hard. He knows what is expected coming here, I’ve told him that we’ll improve him. I’m looking forward to working with him. He seems a really nice lad and he wants to learn.”
Head of recruitment Steve Gallen said: “Sam’s a good football player. He’s got a very good left foot, a good physique, he’s tall, quite elegant, athletic, he can play, he’s been at a very good club since he was a kid so I think everyone will recognise he’s a good player.”
Field has been given squad number 28.
