Crystal Palace boss makes Europa League transfer window admission after FA Cup win

Oliver Glasner admitted that Crystal Palace will be a more attractive proposition this summer for potential transfer targets after qualifying for the Europa League.

The Eagles will be playing top European football for the very first time after lifting the FA Cup at Wembley on Saturday in a 1-0 win over Manchester City.

Eberechi Eze scored the only goal of the game as the South Londoners claimed major silverware for the first time in their history.

Marc Guehi, Adam Wharton and Greenwich-born Eze have all been linked with moves away from Selhurst Park.

“We will be more attractive, of course,” said Glasner.

“Crystal Palace being in the Premier League is attractive – we have great players. Let’s see what the transfer window will bring – it will be a busy summer.

“I don’t want to think about it today.

“I hope I slowly start to find my party mode and get the right vibe. I’m really looking forward to seeing my family.

“Many were here today. You want to share the good moments in your life with your family.”

  • For clarity, which is never included on click bait ad revenue articles like this:

Guehi is still in contract until 2027, if he doesn’t put pen to paper we will most likely sell him during the summer.

Eze has a buyout clause of £68m (paid in full) which requires him to put in a request to leave the club and finishes a week or two before the end of the summer transfer window.

Wharton’s contract ends in 2029, we have no need to sell him.

No player has yet to put in a transfer request.
