Daniel Dubois intent on impressing Stateside – as he features on undercard of YouTuber Jake Paul’s next fight
Daniel Dubois is looking forward to his US debut tomorrow night as he features on the undercard of Jake Paul’s latest fight.
YouTube sensation Paul takes on former UFC fighter Tyron Woodley in Cleveland. Greenwich heavyweight Dubois, 23, is expected to have few issues dealing with Virginia’s Joe Cusumano.
The American has never been stopped – all three of his losses on a 22-bout career have come on points – but he has equally never stepped in the ring with a power puncher like Dubois.
Dubois’ sole reverse came against Joe Joyce in November. He easily blew away Bogdan Dinu on his ring return in June under new trainer Shane McGuigan.
“It’s going to be a massive show, that’s why I need to be on it and impress an American audience,” said the South London puncher. “A ring is a ring. I’ve been in the sport long enough not to get overawed by anything. Shane is one of the best trainers out there – he’s had multiple world champions. We’ve clicked.”
McGuigan added: “This is our second fighter together and it is great for him to be active. We will gradually start stepping up after these induction fights.”
