Fenerbahce announce agreement to sign QPR’s star man Bright Osayi-Samuel
Bright Osayi-Samuel has agreed to join Fenerbahce when his QPR contract expires – with the west London club due to get minimal compensation.
The 23-year-old winger, raised in Woolwich, had previously been linked with Crystal Palace.
But the Turkish club announced that they had agreed terms with Osayi-Samuel, who will join them from the start of the 2021-22 campaign. The South Londoner’s contract will run until 2025.
Fenerbahce, who play in the Turkish Super Lig, say more details of the transfer will be announced in the coming days.
Osayi-Samuel’s move overseas will have a significant impact on the amount of money that QPR will receive.
Domestic transfers that happen under that scenario go to a tribunal if the two clubs cannot agree a fee – which has to be paid for a player under the age of 24. But that drops if a player moves outside of England.
