Is luckless Charlton Athletic defender Lewis Page’s season over?

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Lewis Page’s chances of playing again this season seem up in the air – with Charlton Athletic boss Lee Bowyer admitting he has no idea if the left-back can feature before the League One campaign is over.

The 22-year-old’s form had led to him signing a new contract with the South Londoners but he has not played since the start of October.

Bowyer has described the problem as a tendon issue. Initially he was sidelined with a groin problem which he had tried to manage while still playing.

Asked by the South London Press if Page’s season was over, Bowyer said: “I haven’t got a clue.

“I hope we do. I’m told he will be back before the end of the season. But I’ll be honest – I don’t know. Because I was told we were going to have him back a long, long time ago.”
