Isaac Chamberlain wins vacant IBF International title with easy win over Dilan Prasovic

Isaac Chamberlain needed less than a round to take out Dilan Prasovic at Crystal Palace’s National Sports Centre last night with the Brixton fighter claiming the vacant IBF International cruiserweight title.

The 27-year-old had boxed just once before the weekend since September 2020. But Chamberlain did not get rounds in the bank as Prasovic provided minimal resistance.

A hurtful left hook to the body dropped Prasovic and he failed to beat the count before standing back up. Referee Bob Williams waved off the bout with two second remaining in the round.

Chamberlain’s record moves to 14-1 with eight stoppages.

Prasovic, now 15-2, has suffered back-to-back losses. He was stopped by WBO world champion Lawrence Okolie in three rounds in September.

Chamberlain told Channel 5: “I can’t wait for what 2022 is going to bring. Hopefully we can get the Jack Massey fight, he has just won the IBO world title – we can make something amazing for the UK fans.”

Promoter Mick Hennessy added: “With that win Isaac has put the cruiserweight division on notice, everyone can see that when he is fully fit, he has the full package.”
