Jake Cooper and Mason Bennett miss out for Millwall in Championship opener at QPR
Jake Cooper and Mason Bennett are missing for Millwall’s opening Championship game of the 2021-22 season.
Striker Bennett was an expected absentee after damaging his ankle in the final friendly at Ipswich Town.
Centre-back Cooper is kept out due to a slight back injury.
Arsenal loanee Daniel Ballard makes his debut as he joins what looks set to be a three-man central defence.
George Saville and Benik Afobe, also signed in the summer, make Gary Rowett’s starting line up.
