Luton Town 1 Millwall 1 – George Evans heads home late as Lions extend unbeaten league run to nine matches

Millwall extended their unbeaten run to nine Championship games after a dramatic late equaliser at Kenilworth.

The Lions looked down and out but George Evans headed home deep in stoppage time to give them a share of the spoils.

The first meaningful effort came from Luton’s Leicester loanee Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. His free-kick was hit into the wall before the rebound fell kindly to Joe Morrell, who forced a save from Bart Bialkowski.

Tom Bradshaw – back in the side in place of Matt Smith – was played through on goal by Jed Wallace but his touch let him down. Five minutes later, Morrell’s cross fell nicely to Jordan Clark but his shot was straight at Bialkowski.

Millwall wanted a penalty in the 39th minute for a challenge by Sonny Bradley on Jon Dadi Bodvarsson but referee Graham Scott saw nothing wrong.

Tom Ince went close at the start of the second half. His shot was tipped over by Bialkowski. Just a couple of minutes later Luton went ahead. Millwall failed to deal with a corner and Ryan Tunnicliffe’s cross found Eliajh Adebayo, who slotted past Bialkowski.

Jed Wallace went close in the 79th minute, his free-kick was well saved by Simon Sluga.

Millwall had a penalty claim at the end as Tyler Burey went down in the box.

Then, deep, deep into stoppage time a ball into the box was headed on by Smith for Evans to got up well and head past Sluga.
