Michael Oliver to referee Crystal Palace v Millwall FA Cup tie
Michael Oliver will referee Crystal Palace’s FA Cup fifth round tie with Millwall on Saturday.
He will be aided by assistants James Mainwaring and Steven Meredith with Nick Hopton on VAR, which has not been in operation in previous rounds.
Oliver has officiated 29 matches this season – eight of those in the Champions League – and dished out seven dismissals and 136 yellows.
He recently sent off Liverpool’s Curtis Jones and Everton’s Abdoulaye Doucoure after the final whistle in the Merseyside derby.
And Oliver also reduced Wolves and Arsenal to 10 men in their February fixture in the Premier League – Myles Lewis-Skelly and Joao Gomes both punished.
Millwall have had 69 yellow cards and one red card this season. Aidomo Emakhu was sent off in September’s 3-1 win over Preston North End.
George Saville has the most bookings in the Lions squad – eight – with George Honeyman, Ryan Leonard, Japhet Tanganga, Joe Bryan all on seven.
