Millwall boss Neil Harris talks to the South London Press about Jed Wallace’s new contract

Millwall manager Neil Harris reckons Jed Wallace’s new deal will help with the winger hitting top form again.
The wideman was the subject of interest and bids from Middlesbrough in the summer transfer window but signed a contract extension earlier today.
Harris told the South London Press: “The games we have played, the points total and the hard luck story means we are in a similar position to last season. There is lots to improve to climb that table.
“Individual players have not quite hit the standards of last season. Jed is the first to admit he has not hit the individual standard of the second half of last season. But form can be temporary. There was a lot of speculation linking him at the close of the transfer window and that was very unsettling with individuals and the group – that’s long gone.
“Jed has shown a desire to want to sign a long term contract with us, continue to play for me and develop as a footballer and as an individual. I’m sure it will help him put in settled performances.
“A firing Jed Wallace certainly makes us a better Millwall team.”
