Millwall boss “no problem” with summer transfer target plumping to join Championship rivals
Gary Rowett says that he has no bad feelings towards Jamal Lowe – with the attacker picking Swansea over Millwall in the summer.
Both clubs agreed a fee with Wigan Athletic’s administrators for the 26-year-old.
Lowe, 26, was also a target for the Lions when he left Portsmouth in 2019.
Millwall head to Swansea on Saturday with both clubs unbeaten in the Championship.
“Troy [Parrott] had a choice between us and Swansea and he chose us,” said Lions manager Rowett. “Jamal had a choice between us and Swansea and he chose Swansea.
“Different players want different things, they see different things – that’s how football works.
“There is no real problem, I have been in the same situation before myself. Players have to make choices they feel are right for their family.”
