Millwall boss reckons West Brom loanee made his finish look easy in FA Cup third round victory

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Gary Rowett had praise for Kenneth Zohore for his composed finish in Millwall’s FA Cup win at Boreham Wood on Saturday.

The on-loan West Bromwich Albion striker put the Lions ahead in the first-half, supplying a first-time finish to Scott Malone’s sideways pass.

It was Zohore’s second goal in as many starts for the SE16 outfit – with a calf injury depriving them of the big frontman for a hefty chunk of the campaign.

Millwall boss Rowett was delighted with the opener, which saw Malone play a one-two with Troy Parrott before breaking into the box.

“That shows what Scott Malone can do when he is in really good, confident form. He was really, really good at the weekend.

“If you look we have created a lot of chances this season and not been as clinical as we’d have liked at times.

“You see that instinct he brings to the table. He has got real composure and technical ability – just to strike things and get the ball into the corners of the net.

“It was a well-worked and well-taken goal by Ken. He made what was quite a difficult finish look an easy finish. That is the hallmark of a good striker and a good player.”
