Millwall winger needs competitive minutes under his belt
Tyler Burey is set to play 90 minutes for Millwall’s U23s today – with manager Gary Rowett wanting to get competitive minutes into the former AFC Wimbledon winger.
Burey has started this afternoon’s fixture against Ipswich Town.
The 19-year-old has made six appearances for the Lions and started the FA Cup third round win at Boreham Wood.
“Tyler will play for the U23s today – it’s important for him to get some game minutes,” said Rowett.
“He was left out of our last couple of 18s, just because I think we needed a little bit of experience in certain areas.
“He’ll get the opportunity to come back into the fold but he’ll play 90 minutes today for the U23s, which he needs. He hasn’t played much since he came back from injury, other than the 60 minutes at Boreham Wood.”
